Jonathan Gold does not lie. Not a week goes by that I don’t have a revelation of the food kind in this town. Again and again, I’m blown away by the passion and innovation of LA’s restauranteurs, whether they’re serving up al pastor on the side of the road or French fusion in some fancy joint.
LA’s eastside is a particulary exciting place to live and eat right now. That’s where this blog is based and the perspective it’s written from. The main focus is Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Echo Park, and Silverlake, but I also cover Downtown, SGV, Hollywood and anywhere else an eastsider can get to without too much hassle.
From time to time, I’ll even hit the Westside, but it’s got to be really special for me to deal with the 10.
